A Francis Bacon painting of Vincent Van Gogh is currently on display at the Van Gogh Museum in the Netherlands. A redesigned presentation of the Van Gogh Museum collection is inviting visitors to 'Step into Van Gogh's World'. Visitors will see not only Van Gogh's masterpieces but also his sketches and letters, giving insight into the ideas and ambition behind his art. Also showcased at the Museum is Van Gogh's inspiration on the art world, where Francis Bacon's art features. Periodically, a special (modern) artwork will be displayed that shows to be influenced and inspired by Van Gogh. Presently, this is Francis Bacon's 'Study for a Portrait of Van Gogh VI' 1957, currently on display at the Van Gogh Museum until the end of May 2015, on loan from London's Southbank Centre.
