Quote:
"And is it certain that all the exhibitors make use of a "new" idiom? Mr. Francis Bacon's "Abstraction" (20) [Abstraction, c.1936 (CR 36-02D)] - with a complete set of false teeth - and his more powerful and better coloured "Abstraction from the Human Form" (26) [Abstraction from the Human Form, 1936 (CR 36-03D)] - are not these entirely in the later idiom of M. Picasso?"
