Francis Bacon's art is currently displaying in Paris at the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain, in an exhibition celebrating the Foundation's 30th anniversary. Head (Man in Blue), 1961, features in the exhibition The Inhabitants an idea by Guillermo Kuitca, running until February 22nd 2015. The Inhabitants is an installation created especially for the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain by the Argentinian painter Guillermo Kuitca. Occupying the entire lower level visitors are plunged into a pictoral and sound environment, building an intricate network between Guillermo Kuitca's art and that of fellow artists Tarsila do Amaral, Francis Bacon, David Lynch, Vija Celmins, Patti Smith and Artavazd Pelechian. Francis Bacon's Head (Man in Blue), 1961, acts as a pivotal element in Guillermo Kuitca's installation, linking the various artists and allowing their works to respond to each other and to the various forces at work. The Inhabitants reflects the unique manner in which the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain has operated for 30 years; bringing together works, artists and ideas.
